Swipe Launches Swipe Halo Value A rival to Penta T-Pad WS708C

California-based Swipe Telecom is yet again back with a new Android tablet dubbed as ‘Swipe Halo Value’. As you can see, the tablet is a further addition to the Halo series of the manufacturer. The tablet is priced at Rs.6990/- and as per the manufacturer it is the first dual SIM tablet from the manufacturer. On the other hand, Penta T-Pad WS708C is the first Dual SIM tablet of Pantel Technologies. So, obviously, the Halo Value tab has been launched to stand up to the Penta T-Pad WS708C, which is priced at Rs.6999/-. Both tablets have somewhat the same features and specifications, have a look at them.

Swipe Halo Value

Running on Android v4.1 aka Jelly Bean operating system the tablet boasts a 7 inch LCD TFT capacitive 5 point multi-touch screen with an unknown display resolution. However, in view of its price tag, we think it would be WVGA. It has a powerful 1.5 GHz processor equipped with 512 MB DDRII RAM. Despite being Dual SIM, the tablet also allows users to make voice call over 2G networks. It sports a 2 Megapixel camera at rear while there is a 0.3 Megapixel VGA camera at front and some features of the camera are multiple shots and Panoramic Shots.

It comes with 4 GB internal storage capacity and a microSD card slot permitting auxiliary expansion via microSD card (up to 32 GB). For external connectivity and internet the tablet has 2G, 3G (via external dongle), 3.5 mm audio jack, HDMI, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and WiFi hotspot. The tablet supports voice navigation as well as GPS. The tablet is 10.9 mm thick weighing about 335 grams. There is a battery of 3400 mAh capacity, which empowers the tablet. The Swipe Halo Value supports Flash 11.1 and comes preloaded with loads of apps such as Ebook Reader, Olive Office Premium, Audio recording etc. A leather-case worth Rs.699/- is currently being offered with the tablet.

Swipe Telecom had also launched MTV Volt in association with MTV India, just so you know. The MTV Volt is Dual SIM phablet, which also supports dual Standby functionality. It has a 6 inch 5 point multitouch capacitive HF (854 x 480 pixels) screen running on Android version 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. The phablet has a powerful dual core ARM Cortex MTK 6577 processor clocking at 1 GHz in company with 512MB DDR3 RAM. There is an 8 MP camera with LED flash at back and a 1.3 MP camera at front. It too comes with 4 GB inbuilt storage capacity and supports further expansion via microSD card (up to 32 GB). Other features of the smartphone include 3G connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), 3200 mAh battery and so on.

    I must say this is a decently built tablet and is definitely the tab you can carry around during your daily commute. This keeps me entertained where ever I am :)
