Seeing the success of its cheapest Android smartphone i.e. the Lave IRIS N320, Lava has released yet another sub-4000 smartphone, namely Lava IRIS 351, in the Indian market. Well, as a matter of fact, Lava hasn’t yet unveiled it officially but the smartphone is being showcased across some online retailers including Flipkart, Infibeam and Saholic bearing a price tag of Rs.3899/- with an available status. So you can now presume that the smartphone would surely be getting launched in the near future. In the meantime, let’s check out its features and specifications.
In terms of its features and specifications of Lava IRIS 351, they are somewhat as same as the Lave IRIS N320 except a wider screen. Yep, the IRIS 351 sports a 3.5 inch TFT HVGA capacitive touchscreen with a display resolution of 320 x 480 Pixels (260 K). Since it is an entry-level smartphone you might have guessed what its operating system is. It runs on Android v2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system. Moreover, it features a MSM7125A chipset cloaked at 1 GHz Single Core processor with a RAM of 256 MB and 512 MB of ROM. There is a primary camera of 2 Megapixel at rear with Fixed Focus features.
It has an internal memory of 110 MB, which could further be expanded up to 16 GB. For internet and connectivity you get Email, Preinstalled Browser, WAP, GPRS Class 12, EDGE Class 12, Wi-Fi, USB, A-GPS with Google Maps, Bluetooth v3 etc. Some of its other features include 3.5 mm audio jack, Music Player, Video Player, FM with Recording, Call Memory, SMS Memory, Phone Book Memory, G-Sensor, Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Alarm Clock, Calculator, To Do List, Stop Watch, World Clock and many more. It comes preloaded with a number of apps such as Fusion, Agneepath, Ninja Rush and Lava Zone to name a few.
Most of all, it is Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) capable with dual Standby functionality. With a Bar form factor, the smartphone measures a dimension of 62×115.3×11.8 mm. The handset is powered by a 1300 mAh battery providing talk time up to 3.5 hours and standby time up to 220 hours. The sales package includes the handset, headset, Data Cable, 4 GB microSD Card, Scratch Guard, Battery, User Manual and Charger. Just for the record, it comes with a year manufacturer warranty for the smartphone and 6 months warranty for the accessories.
So, on the whole, I’d say it could be a best option to go for if you want to have an experience of Android smartphone for the first time.
